Hoshiarpur man held for sheltering gangster Shubham

Tribune News ServiceAmritsar, September 5The city police have arrested a Hoshiarpur resident for allegedly sheltering notorious gangster Shubham Singh when he along with his accomplices had robbed a jeweller in Guru Bazaar on August 16 last year. He was identified as Gagandeep Singh, alias Lucky, a resident of Sham Chaurasi village in Hoshiarpur. He told that Shubham along with his accomplices had hidden at the accommodation provided by Gagandeep Singh. Shubham told the police that after the robbery he got the share of 1500-gm gold from the looted jewellery. Out of this he gifted a gold chain of 41-gm to Gagandeep while melted the remaining gold jewellery..
