Twenty-two of his most acclaimed works have been put up at the exhibition for public and art lovers. The IAFA also honoured seven art teachers to mark the Teacher’s Day in the memory of Thakar Singh. Born in 1899 in Verka, near Amritsar, Thakar Singh was awarded Padma Shri in 1973.
