He was a member of the Jaggu Bhagwanpuria gang and wanted by the Punjab police in around two murder cases and as many murder bid, besides five bank dacoity cases registered against him. Earlier, the Punjab police had arrested Jaggu Bhagwanpuria, Amanpreet Singh Rinka, Shubham Singh, Bobby Malhotra, Bhupinder Singh alias Sonu Kangla and Navneet Singh Shera. One of their accomplices Rajat Malhotra, alias Karan Masti, was murdered in November last year while Ravi Balachaur, Harwinder Singh, alias Mony, Arun Kumar alias Chhurimar were still at large.
