Cong leader, son booked for fraud

Our CorrespondentTarn Taran, September 14Gurpartap Singh Plasaur, a senior leader of the Congress, and his son Jashandeep Singh of Plasaur village have been booked in a fraud case on Friday. He said he would challenge the registration of the case in the court. Gurpartap was in queue of Congress ticket aspirants from Tarn Taran constituency in the 2017 Vidhan Sabha elections. The police said the case had been registered against Gurpartap and his son on a complaint by Mandeep Sharma of Chheharta (Amritsar). An inquiry was conducted by DSP Richa Agnihotri, on the findings of which SSP Dhruv Dahiya recommended registration of the case..
