Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pardeep Sabarwal said action would be taken against owners of the land in case they had given it on lease and tillers burnt crop residue. A red entry in revenue records of land owners would also be made for violation of the ban, he said. He said nodal officers for villages to help farmers with technical knowledge and machinery for management of crop residue had also been appointed. “The farmers should get in touch with their respective nodal officers for assistance in case they need machinery and technical help,” he said.
