Tribune News ServiceAmritsar, October 31The state Education Department has issued instructions to all block mentoring officers, school heads and others to sell dump items lying in schoolrooms to manage the available space properly. It has come to the department’s notice that dump items, such as almirahs, desks and water pipes, are being stored in schoolrooms leading to inappropriate use of space. These spaces can be used for betterment of students. The block mentoring officers under ‘Padho Punjab Padhao Punjab’ project have been asked to create awareness for the same as well during schools visits they must communicate waste management of any school to concerned authorities through WhatsApp for better management of things. The schools heads along with school management has to dispose of scrap lying in the schools and the money received should be deposited in school funds..
