Arts fest to highlight cultural legacy of Guru Nanak

Neha SainiTribune News ServiceAmritsar, November 7A part of the ongoing celebrations of the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev at Sultanpur Lodhi, the Guru Nanak Arts Festival will display over 163 paintings done by eminent artist from across the state. “The festival will have works of prominent artist like Siddharth, Prem Singh, RM Singh and others. The festival will also put on display the copies of Janam Sakhi, a book on Guru Nanak Dev’s life whose original manuscript is kept at London Museum. “The book was written in 17th century and is part of the heritage and legacy of Guru Nanak Dev,” said Chamak. Apart from the various exhibits, 25 artists, including calligraphists, will be part of the five-day arts festival..
