The Punjab government said in a health bulletin that the number of under-treatment patients also increased to 23,832.

According to the bulletin, Jalandhar had the highest number of 343 new infections, 328 in Ludhiana, 296 in Amritsar and 254 in Mohali.

The infection killed 14 people in Ludhiana, 9 in Hoshiarpur and 8 in Patiala.

During this period, 2,788 more people recovered, and the number of people discharged after getting treated increased to 2,09,034.

As per the data, 37 patients are in critical condition and are on a ventilator, while 312 patients are being given oxygen.
