Indian Railways in a sigh of relief for those who travel between New Delhi to Amritsar and Amritsar to Delhi via train has decided to restart the Delhi-Amritsar Shatabdi Express (New Delhi-Amritsar-New Delhi Shatabdi Express).
Northern Railway has issued a statement saying that the service of Train no 02013/14: New Delhi-Amritsar-New Delhi will run daily.
02013 will run from New Delhi daily from April 10 till further notice and 02014 will run daily from Amritsar from April 11 till further advice
Apart from this, Train no 0405/04054 New Delhi – Amritsar- New Delhi Shatabdi Special Express will run weekly.
04053 from New Delhi and 04054 from Amritsar will run every Thursday from April 15 till further advice.
Intercity-Express (02242) for Amritsar-Chandigarh is also set to start from April 10.
Currently, one train being operating for Chandigarh which will leave at 5.15 in the morning, the same train will run from Chandigarh at 5 pm and reach Amritsar at 9 pm.

The farmers` strike in Jandiala located on the Jalandhar-Amritsar railway section is over now after almost 169 days.
Due to this strike, the operation of the Shatabdi Express running between Amritsar-Delhi was stopped.
