On July 28 the victim Jugraj Singh went to fields for a morning run but did not return home. The next morning family found his body in village fields with injury marks. The SSP said a case was registered on the statement of Balkar Singh father of the victim. The then SHO Sub-Inspector Sonamdeep Kaur investigated the murder but did not reach at a conclusion.
