AMRITSAR: A teenage boy strangulated his six-year-old neighbourer for scratching his tractor After killing him, he concealed his body in a heap of paddy husk in his house for throwing the body in village pond at night, but before the police traced the accused and put him behind bars.While talking to media persons here on Tuesday, senior superintendent of police (SSP) Amritsar, Rural, Parampal Singh said that police had received a missing report of Shubhpreet Singh (6) from his village Malakpur falling under Jandiala police station at around 9.30pm on Monday.Parampal said that immediately after receiving the missing report, a police party was sent to village to trace the boy, which conducted house-to-house search at the village and then focused on the persons who were seen last with Shubhpreet Singh.At around 1am on Tuesday, the police party was successful in finding the child's body from heap of paddy husk.One of the boys who was last seen with Shubhpreet was 18-year-old Gurpreet Singh, a neighbourer, who during questioning by police party broke down and confessed to have strangulated Shubhpreet with a piece of cloth.SSP said that Gurpreet admitted that he had time and again objected to Shubhpreet scratching his tractor, but he wouldn't listen following which he got agitated and strangulated the young boy on finding him alone near his residence.He also said that Gurpreet wanted to throw Shubhpreet's body in village pond at night, but before he could do the same, he was caught by police.A case under Section 302 and 201 of the IPC had been registered with Jandialaat police station, he said..
