DCP Zone-II sent on forced leave

Aurangabad: In a surprising turn of events, newly appointed commissioner Chiranjeev Prasad has sent deputy commissioner of police zone-II, Rahul Shrirame on forced leave. A source informed that the mother-daughter duo was last seen in Mumbai.Despite repeated attempts made by this reporter, neither Shrirame nor Prasad could not be reached for their comments about the situation resulting in to sending the officer on forced leave. The legal process will be followed once a written complaint is lodged.The officer also informed that for the past five days, the house of the complainant is locked and she is not reachable, further worrying the authorities. The development has stunned the police authorities.Confirming the development, highly placed sources in the department said that a recent complaint against the officer, in which serious allegations were levelled against him, has resulted into the situation.Over past three days, the social media as well as the local press has been abuzz with the serious allegations made against the officer, who is already due for transfer during the GT.An officer, on the conditions of anonymity, said, “The allegations are very serious and the complaint lodged with the authorities was in oral form..
