Major boost for university as all statutory bodies in place now

Aurangabad | Saturday | 16th June, 2018

Summary:

“The absence of key statutory bodies had been cited as the reason for many administrative and academic delays. No candidates were in fray for eight BoS polls, forcing the authorities to put in place some makeshift arrangement. While elections were scheduled for a total of 38 BoS, no polls took place for 21 BoS as those who had filed nominations were elected unopposed. With all these bodies in place now, we expect that the functioning of the university will gain momentum.”Student activist Tukaram Saraf said the university authorities must pull up their socks in the best interest of students. Formation of desired statutory bodies is expected to give a boost for necessary preparations. The university, which has jurisdiction over Beed, Jalna, Osmanabad and Aurangabad districts, had previously undergone NAAC scrutiny in 2013 when it was awarded A grade.Among other elections to statutory bodies, the polls for Board of Studies (BoS) of Bamu, were held on April 17..
