Apex court relief to tribal medical course aspirants, asks HC to decide by July-end

The admission shall take place within a week after the judgement is pronounced by the high court and the date of admission is extended to that date. Aurangabad: The Supreme Court recently ordered the schedule tribe candidates, aspiring to enroll in medical colleges and were facing difficulties involving caste certificates, to approach the principal bench of the Bombay high court. The candidates who have got certificates of validity by virtue of high court order be admitted and the vacant seats can be filled up from amongst the student who have got the certificate of validity. The medical council of India shall intimate this order to the concerned educational institution.”The court also passed directions asking the persons aggrieved by the order of the scheduled tribe caste certificate scrutiny community to approach high court by July 15. They had pointed out that a large number of claims were pending and that they could lose the opportunity of getting admission in the seats reserved for the schedule tribe category at all India level and in the state of Maharashtra.The high court, citing the Supreme Court verdict on June 13, refused to intervene in the ongoing admission process..
