Marathwada, comprising eight districts, registered 4.5mm rainfall during the past 24-hours.The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall for Aurangabad on Sunday followed by chances of intermittent showers during the subsequent 24-hours.The city reported maximum temperature of 27.3 degrees celsius and minimum of 20.6 degrees celsius on Saturday. The inflow had become weak for the last 48-hours, but again picked up pace from Saturday afternoon,” an official said.“By 6 pm on Saturday, inflow of water from Nandur-Madhameshwar weir (11,192 cusec), Nagamthan River Gauging Station (6,000 cusec), Darna dam (4,934 cusec), Gangapur dam (4,342 cusec) was reported towards Jayakwadi dam,” he added.Meanwhile, many parts of the city and region as a whole have been receiving intermittent spells of light to medium rain during the past 24 hours ending at 8am on Saturday.As far as tehsil limits of Aurangabad are concerned, these areas reported over 12mm rainfall..
