Aurangabad: A 20-year-old third year student committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling of his hostel room at Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Agriculture University in Parbhani — about 200 km from Aurangabad — on Tuesday night.Preliminary investigation has revealed that the student had failed in three consecutive semester examinations and had ended up spending the money he had got from his family for paying fees.The deceased — identified as Sachin Panditrao Mundhe, hailing from Savargav Mundhe of Lonar in Buldhana district — was pursuing B.Sc (Agri) course. The incident came to light after his room partner Ganesh Hanumant Kapawar reached there at 9.45 pm.He raised an alarm following which students from the hostel rushed to his room and brought down Sachin before taking him to a hospital where he was declared brought dead.His room partner informed the police that Sachin was under tremendous pressure as exams were approaching and he had already spent the money his family had sent for paying the college fees..
