Trio targets shop, steal gold bangle

Aurangabad: Jinsi police have registered a case of theft and launched a manhunt for a man and his two women accomplices, who on Monday evening entered a leading jewellery showroom on the busy Jalna road under the pretext of purchasing gold ornaments and walked away while stealing a gold bangle weighing over 30 gm.The theft has been caught in the high definition CCTV cameras installed at the showroom situated in the Mondha Naka to Air India Radio cross road.Jinsi police station’s senior inspector Shyamsundar Vasurkar told TOI, “The suspects, who appeared to be from a well-off background entered the showroom and asked for gold bangles.”The sales executive started showing them bangles and other ornaments one after the other, when the male suspect stole one of them and immediately passed it on to one of his women accomplices under the pretext of having a close look at the bangles.The CCTV cameras caught her hiding the bangle on her person, following which the trio left the showroom under the pretext of returning after checking the designs in other showrooms.It was while packing away the gold ornaments shown to the customers that the sales executive found a bangle missing..
