Two arrested for 500gm gold theft at Samarthnagar

Aurangabad: The crime branch of the city police has nabbed two suspects for their involvement in a major burglary comprising 500gm of gold and Rs one lakh cash, committed at a flat in the Samarthnagar area of the city last week.In the daylight house burglary that was committed in Samarthnagar, Rs one lakh in cash and gold jewellery items weighing 50 tolas (500 grams) were stolen by the burglars on February 4 (Monday). The apartment is situated close to the Kranti Chowk police station. The latest set of accused have been arrested from the Beed Bypass late on Saturday night and they have been identified as Kishor Tejrao Wayal (39) of Meraa and Raju Shivaji Ingle (24) of Barai, both from Buldhana district. The footage of CCTV cameras installed in the nearby houses was screened, which revealed the faces of the criminals.Earlier on Friday, the crime branch team nabbed their two accomplices and claimed to have solved the high-profile house breaking offence that had rocked the city..
