Aurangabad: The head of solid waste management of the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) Nandkishore Bhombe has submitted an unconditional apology to the Aurangabad Bench of the Bombay High Court for his contentious statement made with regards to the high court judgement on the Naregaon dumping yard.Incidentally, the high court had restrained the AMC from dumping waste at the Naregaon/Mandki dump yard in its order dated March 9, 2018. Lawyer Pradnya Talekar, who is representing the petitioner, told TOI, “The AMC in it’s recent affidavit in reply has stated that the city was thrown into a crisis when the High Court passed an order injuncting them from dumping the waste at Naregaon. The tone of the affidavit was to blame.The HC was not pleased with the language of the affidavit and on raising an objection to the same, advocate Rajendra Deshmukh, appearing for the AMC, tendered an apology and sought to delete the said sentence.However, the fact remains that the same contention was made by the AMC before the Supreme Court as well as in an earlier affidavit before the High Court..
