Being a tertiary care hospital, the GMCH gets patients across districts of Marathwada, Buldhana, Jalgaon, Ahmednagar and Nasik for treatment. However, these patients are generally from the lower-middle class and are unable to afford treatment at private hospitals, therefore, they come to the state-run hospital. “Demands for the requirements are regularly sent to the authorities,” he added.
