Ensure CCTV cams at every school: Police to education department

Dhate, citing that number of complaints against private non-aided schools is increasing, said, " The school education department has been asked to see that safety issues related to the students, raised by parents, are addressed in time at the school level itself. AURANGABAD: The city police have shot a fresh letter to the education department asking them to ensure that all schools are under closed-circuit television ( CCTV ) camera cover.The letter is a result of the widespread outrage over the murder of a seven-year-old boy in a Gurgaon-based private school. The Aurangabad police have made it clear that if schools fail to ensure implementation of student safety guidelines, including covering the entire school premises under CCTV cameras, the police would register offences against the school management.There are over eight lakh students in around 4,000 schools in the district..
