BJP will probe allegations of assault, misbehaviour against workers: Kataria

Bareilly: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state general secretary Ashok Kataria on Monday said they would probe the allegations of misbehaviour and assault levelled against party workers and would take appropriate action, if found guilty.Kataria’s statement came in response to a question posed by journalists regarding growing incidents of misbehaviour and physical assault by BJP workers.“Our workers are disciplined, but we will conduct a probe if any such incident has taken place. According to reports, the constable also slapped Mishra in retaliation. Following the incident, two separate FIRs were lodged against Mishra and the constable. Police take similar action against people who create law and order problem irrespective of their identity, background and affiliation.”On February 16, an FIR was lodged against Amit, the nephew of BJP MLA, and his four accomplices for allegedly slapping the driver over a parking dispute. The driver alleged that the MLA’s nephew and his aides also took away with them the log book and keys of the car.Similarly, on February 15, police booked Mishra for allegedly assaulting a constable posted at the Cantonment police station after a heated argument..
