Conservator asks DFO why clerks were sent to Corbett for training

Pilibhit: Conservator of forest, Bareilly circle, PP Singh, has sought an explanation from divisional forest officer of Pilibhit Tiger Reserve Kailash Prakash regarding a 20–member team sent to Corbett Tiger Reserve to undergo training in wildlife management and tiger conservation. The team also comprised retired sub divisional forest officer KP Singh, who was not eligible for any official training,” said PP Singh. It is mandatory to send the particulars to principal chief conservator of forest (wildlife), UP, SK Upadyay, for his approval in case any training session is held only in UP .“The DFO not only failed to submit the training module but he allowed clerks to undergo the training at Corbett which was not meant for them. Half of the team members were clerks in the forest department whereas field staff were to be sent to Corbett.The DFO has been given three days’ time to give his reply.The forest team of PTR had gone to Corbett for a three-day training programme between March 13 and 15..
