Summary:

Keeping in mind the growing number of such illegal establishments, we have asked the civic body and power department to help us put an end to this. Those failing to produce approved building layouts will face legal actions.Pandey told TOI, “Development of unauthorized residential colonies, apartments, commercial establishments, etc has become a common practice. “In case a consumer fails to produce an approved building plan, the department will send their details to the development authority following which, necessary verification will be carried out. I also wrote to the BMC and power department officials asking them to cross-verify relevant documents, especially building layout and check whether the same has been approved by BDA.”Pandey added that consumers with an approved building plan from BDA will only be allowed power and water connections. People, despite knowing the consequences, are indulging into the illegal practice of constructing such buildings without getting the layout approved from the development authority..
