Fever death toll rises to 31 in Bareilly, health department starts mass radical treatment

BAREILLY: The death toll due to fever in rural areas of Bareilly increased to 31 on Wednesday after a two-and-a-half-year-old girl, a two-month-old boy, a two-year-old girl and a 60-year-old man in Majhgavan block died. Bhuri Devi, village head of Kandharpur, said, “The two-and-a-half-year old girl, Kamlesh, daughter of Pancham Lal , died due to fever. The team has also asked us to start mass radical treatment of patients at the earliest. The fever-related deaths have been confirmed by village heads while the health department has claimed that only 10 people have lost their lives so far. Eight people have died because of fever in the past fortnight.”Uttar Pradesh director general , health, Dr Padmakar Singh, said, “The team from Lucknow is yet to send its report..
