Students to get scholarship in 2 instalments in a/c

Bareilly: In order to curb misappropriation of scholarship funds in the name of fake beneficiaries by private educational institutes, the UP government has decided to release the scholarship in two instalments per annum from the current academic session of 2018-19. The scholarship will be sent directly to the student concerned’s bank account and not to the college. Besides, the student will have to deposit the fee on his own while taking admission in any course which will be reimbursed later.” Under this scholarship scheme, 100% college fee is reimbursed irrespective of any course taken up by the student concerned.Dikshit said, “Now, the scholarship has been linked with Aadhaar and many more safeguards are being put in place so that the fund is received by the beneficiary.
