Girl dies of snakebite

Bareilly: An 18-year-old girl, Anju Pal, succumbed to snakebite in the district hospital on Thursday morning. However, he refused to shift her when doctors tried to refer her to a higher facility.Bisalpur SHO Madhav Singh Bisht said, “We did not aware about this incident.” Kishan Pal, had caught the snake and bought it to the hospital. She was brought to the hospital after a three-foot-long venomous snake bit her on her right ear while she was sleeping in her house at Risola Sabal village under Bisalpur police station in Pilibhit district.According to the emergency medical officer, Dr Akhileshwar Kumar Singh, she was bitten around 4 am but her family brought her to hospital late after failing to revive her by adopting traditional methods, “Our doctors’ team made all-out efforts to save her but around 12:15 pm, she succumbed to poisoning.” He added that girl’s father..
