Bareilly: Though the cases of deadly malaria strain have continuously been rising in the district, officials said nearly 90% of plasmodium falciparum (PF) malaria cases were reported from Aonla sub-division alone in the past few days. In the past few days, seven blocks showed a decline in PF cases, while a majority of cases were reported from Anola.For instance, 411 fresh PF cases were reported in Bareilly district on Monday, of these 382 were detected in Aonla sub-division alone. Situated on the border of Badaun, Aonla sub-division comprises Aonla town area and three blocks — Majhgavan, Bhamora and Ramnagar.After malaria outbreak in Bareilly district, the health department had declared 10 blocks as “affected”. The highest 204 cases were reported from Majhgavan, followed by Aonla urban 77, Bhamora 76 and Ramnagar 25.Chief medical officer Dr Vineet Shukla said, “As the maximum numbers of cases are being reported from Majhgavan, Bhamora, Aonla urban and Ramnagar, we are considering them sensitive.
