Two weeks after death, thirty five-year-old man’s body exhumed for autopsy

BAREILLY: More than two weeks after a man in Pilibhit died under mysterious circumstances, police on Tuesday exhumed his body following orders of district magistrate (DM) Akhilesh Kumar Mishra. Tehsildar of Bilsanda circle, Rakesh Verma, said, “The body was sent for an autopsy on Tuesday. The 35-year-old deceased’s wife has alleged that local cops had refused to conduct a postmortem and forced his family to bury the body immediately after his death. She requested the DM on Monday to get the body exhumed in order to elicit the exact cause of death through an autopsy.According to police, the incident occurred on September 28 at Marauri Khas village under Bilsanda police station.
