72 policemen booked for not vacating quarters after posting in other districts

Bareilly: Seventy-two policemen have been booked for not vacating government quarters, even after they were transferred to other districts.Following the instructions of senior superintendent of police (SSP) Muniraj G, superintendent of police (city) Abhinandan Singh on Monday lodged FIRs against the 72 policemen at different police stations based on the location of their quarters. So, I cannot vacate the quarter till April, 2019, until their session gets over.” As they have been not paying any heed to our repeated notices, we are left with no option but to lodge FIRs against them,” said SP.“Some policemen have occupied quarters in police lines, while others have occupied quarters adjacent to police stations and police outposts. FIRs have been lodged with those police stations under whose ambit the occupied quarters fall,” said SP.Meanwhile, a constable who was booked by SP told TOI on condition of anonymity, “I was transferred in October.
