26 inspectors shifted in Bareilly range on EC’s order

Inspector Kapil and inspector KK Verma are have been shifted to Pilibhit and Badaun, respectively. They will be given new postings soon. Six other inspectors — GD Joshi, Naresh Kumar, US Yadav, Dalveer Singh, Deshpal Singh and Rakam Singh — have been posted to Shahjahanpur.The maximum number of 10 officers has been moved out of Shahjahanpur to other districts following by eight from Bareilly, six from Badaun and two from Pilibhit district.Earlier on Sunday, senior superintendent of police Muniraj G had shunted nine sub-inspectors to police lines. Bareilly: In a major reshuffle, deputy inspector general (DIG), Bareilly range, Rajesh Kumar Pandey on Thursday transferred as many as 26 inspectors in four districts — Bareilly, Badaun, Pilibhit and Shahjahanpur The action was taken following directions by the Election Commission to director general of police Om Prakash Singh to transfer elsewhere those inspectors who have been posted in one district since the last assembly elections held in Uttar Pradesh in 2017.Giving details, DIG Pandey said, “We have received instructions from additional director general (establishment) Piyush Anand that those inspectors who were deputed in a district before May 31, 2017 and have been continuing their services since then in the same district must be transferred to other districts with immediate effect.”From Bareilly, as many as eight inspectors, including station house officer (SHO) of Kotwali Geetesh Kapil, have been moved to other districts..
