BDA to crack down on commercial units running in residential houses

Bareilly: Bareilly Development Authority (BDA) will soon be undertaking drives across the city to check on illegal practice of running commercial activities from residential units. The yojana was reeling under encroachments by various commercial establishments, shops and local vendors. According to the BDA officials, there are several establishments which have building layout approved in the residential category but are being used to carry out commercial activities. The owners have now converted a part of these buildings to run shops and other commercial establishments. The development authority will be seeking building approvals from the owners and if found that the owner concerned lacks an approved commercial layout but is running it for commercial use, he will be facing legal action..
