14-year-old boy among three held for killing contract farmer

Pilibhit: A joint team of Puranpur Kotwali police station, surveillance and the special weapons and tactics cell on Saturday caught three persons, including a 14-year-old boy, while solving the murder mystery of a 32-year-old contract farmer, Mahesh Kashyap. Kashyap was murdered on March 24.According to police, the three accused have confessed to their crime. This revelation saved three innocent persons, who were named in the initial FIR by the complainant, from going behind the bars, the SP added. Since then Sarvesh was planning to kill Mahesh.On March 24, Sarvesh came to village Jatpura along with his colleague, Indrajeet Gangwar and invited Mahesh through his maid’s minor son to consume liquor at night. The three accused reached deceased’s agricultural field at night on March 24, offered him wine and when he was absolutely drunk, they hit him with pole-axe on his head and then escaped, the SP disclosed.The police have also recovered the pole axe following leads given by the accused..
