Pooja Pandey, spokesperson of the medical college stated that ‘’the protest is politically motivated as the government and Medical Council of India have authorized a male obstetrician for performing a delivery.
The doctor in question is a senior surgeon.
We can always assign the delivery to a woman doctor if the patient specifically requests for it’’.
