Seven forest guards stung by bees after villagers hit hive

As many as seven forest guards were stung by bees and they were taken to the government hospital for medical aid, said a report by the range officer. The incident happened on Tuesday morning.The forest guards had gone to the area after getting information that a tiger might have killed a nilgai. They said that the forest team did not find any pug marks of tiger or leopard in and around the village. Pilibhit: Angry over the forest department's inability to prevent tigers from straying out of the forest, some locals of Bichpuri village under Marauri block — about 1.5 km from Pilibhit city — whacked a beehive on a tree under which some forest guards were standing.
