The accused, Amar, and three other security guards, caught the pup entering the apartment complex seeking shelter from the rain. The inspector said they booked the four security guards under Sections 428 and 429 of the Indian Penal Code (Mischief by killing or maiming animal) and also under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960.
