With the news spreading like wildfire, people started running out of their homes in fear.“There were complaints from people in west Bengaluru and other parts about a loud noise, possibly caused due to an earthquake. Some even said it sounded like a massive explosion and that they also felt the tremors . However, no such tremors have been recorded in our earthquake observatory at Thippagondanahalli along Magadi Road, which monitors such events, if any, in 100km radius,” said a media communication from KSNDMC.
