BBMP to go paperless with e-Office software

BENGALURU: Paving the way for efficient and open governance, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike BBMP ) has finally decided to adopt the e-Office software developed by the National Informatics Centre ( NIC ). Once file is moved to the particular department, the officer examines it and takes action.Post-implementation: Applicants need to register files or complaints on e-Office portal. Citizens can easily track file status and check with the department concerned if there is any delay in processing the file. The administrative section of BBMP, they said, has already been trained.“When I was deputed in Vijayapura and Mysuru, most of the work was done online and I saw how that brought about transparency.
