'Water security an alarming issue in Bengaluru'

The water security is an alarming issue with respect to the city’s increasing population , said retired IAS Officer, V Balasubramanian, at a talk in Jain University on Saturday morning.The retired IAS officer discussed about water security and how it can be monitored. People participation is the key to water security. “Creating awareness and educating people about the lakes and how water can be saved is the most important element of saving water,” Balasubramanian said. Thirdly if the water from the lake is restored then it will have nearly 200 Mld of water,” he added.The most important way to save water in the city would be to create awareness of the water around them.
