B'luru roads saw 2 deaths every day in Jan & Feb

BENGALURU: City roads witnessed at least 13 accidents , claiming two lives every day on an average in the first two months of this year.In all, 799 accidents and 114 deaths were reported in January and February, shows data available with traffic police. As many as 734 people have sustained injuries.The maximum number of accidents in 2019 occurred in Yelahanka (47), followed by Peenya (38), KR Puram (37), Whitefield (36), Devanahalli (36), Kamakshipalya (32) and Electronics City (31). The city has 41 such vulnerable locations.Most fatalities were reported in Whitefield (7), followed by Byatarayanapura (6), Hebbal (6), Devanahalli (6), Chikkajala (5), HSR Layout (5), KR Puram (4), Madiwala (4) and Electronics City (4). There are 17 ‘black spots’ identified in these areas..
