Karnataka reported 3,589 new Covid-19 cases on Friday, taking the state’s overall infection tally to 8,20,398.
The state also reported 49 new virus related deaths, taking the state’s total death toll to 11,140.
According to the medical bulletin, 8,521 people are discharged on Friday, taking the aggregate discharge after recovery tally to 7,49,740.
There are 59,499 active cases in the state, including 935 in the intensive care units of various hospitals.
Bengaluru Urban contributed almost 50 percent of the fresh infections and mortalities with 1,811 case and 27 deaths.
The capital city has so far reported a total of 3,34,848 infections, 3,847 deaths and 2,93,466 discharges and 37,534 active cases.
Chikkaballapura reported 143 new cases, followed by Dakshina Kannada 137, Tumakuru 132, Mandya 125, Chitradurga 122, Mysuru 118 and Hassan 116, while the rest are reported from several other districts.
