Man arrested on charge of duping architect

Based on a complaint, the police tracked down Jagadish Shah from his house in Yelahanka and recovered 21 gold chains worth ? 9.4 lakh. According to the police, the accused, posing as a social activist running an NGO, approached Praveen Kumar, an architect in Chickpet, and purchased three gold chains from him worth ?1.08 lakh. The accused presented a cheque to the victim, which bounced due to insufficient funds. The police suspect that Shah could have cheated many more in the city..
