Minor girl found abandoned at Rampura

Tribune News ServiceBathinda, June 25District Child Welfare Officer Ravneet Kaur Sidhu on Tuesday said they were trying to trace the parents of a girl, aged between six and seven years, who was found at the Rampura railway station recently. According to a release issued here, volunteers of an NGO had found the girl and they subsequently brought the matter to the notice of the district administration. A team of Child Line reached the spot and lodged a daily diary report (DDR) with the GRP. It came to light during her counseling that she cannot converse in Punjabi and she may be a resident of some other state.
