Sports keep students away from drugs: Edu Minister

The event started with the lighting of the flame by the head boy and the head girl. Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla was the chief guest and declared the school games open after inaugurating the newly made school golf course. While addressing the public, Vijay Inder Singla spoke about the significance of sports in a child’s life and why the celebration of the day was important for every school. He emphasised how sports keep children away from drugs and how sports are necessary for overall development of a child’s mind and body. The list of events included obstacle race, bucket race, relay race, bunny-rabbit race, hoola-hoop race, butterfly race, carrot race and a race involving mothers of students..
