Sandeep Kaur, assistant professor at the department, presented her research paper at the conference and received the Best Paper Presentation Award. The conference, sponsored by the World Bank and Ministry of Rural Development, was organised by the Centre for National Resource Development and National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR), Hyderabad, in the last week of November. Vice-Chancellor Professor RK Kohli congratulated Sandeep on her achievement and encouraged her to set new benchmarks with quality research in the field of economic studies.
