Summary:
Predominantly single actor play, Popcorn which was staged at Shaheed Bhawan recently by renowned actor Balendra Singh , under the direction of Jabalpur based director Ashish Pathak . The popcorn-seller goes to a railway station every day to sell popcorn and, as a routine he gives popcorn to a mentally disturbed woman, Tukia. A special set was created to look like a railway station where the actor sells his popcorn on a daily basis. He tries to reason why a mentally sound man would rape a mentally ill woman and concludes everyone is living to fulfil their greed not needs. There were pillar, benches and stalls just like the ones in a typical Indian railways platform.The story goes like this..
