School allows girls to practise martial arts

BHOPAL: National level girl players are allowed to practice for martial arts at a hall of government-run school from Friday. The government school at Second Stop has given many national level players in past couple of years. “With resumption of classes, we can learn martial arts,” she said.Players have to participate in district tournament from July 15 for Bhopal championship and they were worried as appearing in the championship without practice would affect their performance. For this purpose, we wanted a proper practice arena, which was not being allowed on the campus for past one month,” said the girl.Another girl said martial arts is not about sports, it also helps in self-defence.
