Healthcare boost: GMC gets Rs 3 crore for renal transplant unit

According to minister Narottam Mishra , the new tehsils will be Devri in Raisen district , Khujner and Suthaliya in Rajgarh district , Rannoud in Shivpuri district, Jharda in Ujjain district, Bahadurpur in Ashoknagar district and Pithampur tehsil in Dhar district . With the facility of kidney transplantation in Bhopal, additional courses of PG and DM/ MCh can also be started in the department of medicine and surgery of the college.The cabinet also approved creation of eight new tehsils. BHOPAL: In a major boost to health care facility in the state capital, the Madhya Pradesh government on Tuesday gave the nod to start kidney transplantation facility at the state run Gandhi Medical College.The state cabinet headed by CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday approved capital investment of Rs3.36 crore and creation of 35 new posts to facilitate kidney transplantation facility in GMC, Bhopal. In another decision, the cabinet decided to increase contractual appointment of retired steno-typists of MP Information Center in Mumbai by one more year or till alternative arrangement is made, whichever is earlier.The Cabinet also granted policy-based approval to extend infrastructure development scheme of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) till 2017-18 to 2019-20. Creation of posts for the new tehsils have also been approved in the meeting.The government decided to increase the limit of cashless treatment for state’s journalists under health and accident group insurance scheme to Rs4 lakh from the existing Rs2 lakh cover.In addition, accident insurance assistance amount to family of the deceased scribe has been hiked to Rs10 lakh..
