Kathak dancers sway on Marathi tunes at Tribal Museum

Under the Uttaradhikar series of Madhya Pradesh Tribal Museum , this week the audience got a chance to enjoy a cultural night. After this soulful performance, Uma Dongre along with her group started her Kathak dance in a Marathi song- Sant tunaram rangeet abhanga sundar te dhyan. This was an ode to an Indian God Vitthal who is worshipped by a lot of people in the southern part of the country. They started with the traditional alaap shifting to raga Bhoop in which they sang Jhoothi baat sachi kar dikhawat.
