Bhopal | Wednesday | 12th December, 2018

Summary:

BHOPAL: Congress’ biggest loss seems to be Vindhya region comprising of 30 seats across the districts of Rewa, Satna, Sindhi, Singrauli, Anuppur and Umaria. Rewa, Satna, Sidhi have more than a dozen seats with large number of Brahmin voters. Leader of Opposition and four times MLA Ajay Singh is trailing by more than 6,400 votes against BJP’s Saradendu Tiwari. Even as counting of votes continues till this story was filed, Congress will either remain static or not gain much in Vindhya. It was thought that Brahmins would shift allegiance from BJP to Congress..
